Nestled in the heart of the mountains, the community may be world-famous as a premier ski destination, but it still contains lush parks and great outdoor spaces perfect for winter and summer. Having secured its reputation as one of the most awe-inspiring neighborhoods in Colorado, Snowmass is in the Aspen School district and is desirable for that as well. Prices for homes and condos are less money per square foot than in Aspen and that makes it very desirable.
 

Dining, Entertainment & Shopping

The restaurant scene is thriving and features a variety of international cuisines. Base Camp Bar & Grill is a casual spot to grab a bite to eat in the center of town with scrumptious American classics plus craft beers, a terrace, and a patio. Il Poggio is a staple in the community for its handmade and traditional Italian dishes served alongside an expertly-curated wine list. Residents love the Artisan Restaurant in the lobby of The Stonebridge Inn for its seasonal menu cooked with locally-sourced ingredients. Its cozy indoor fireplace and spacious outdoor patio make for a great setting to unwind all year round.

There’s a good shopping scene in Snowmass with a large selection of stores. Gorsuch is a beloved retailer for high-end women’s and men’s clothing, ski gear and accessories, houseware, and gifts. There are also tons of stores and services catered toward outdoor sports, like Surefoot and Sunset Ski. For grocery items, Grain Fine Food and General Store offer a great selection of fresh and locally-sourced produce and gourmet items, and there’s also a Clark’s Market.
 

Things to Do

There is never a shortage of exciting activities for residents and visitors of Snowmass to partake in. The neighborhood is always hosting lively events to bring members of the community together, such as the Summer Concert Series and Snowmass Rodeo. For spectacular views, a scenic ride on the Elk Camp Gondola makes for a memorable experience and leads to the breathtaking sites of the Maroon Bells. The town is famous for its ski and snowboard terrain. Its ski area contains 20 speedy lifts that lead to over 3,300 acres of a winter wonderland, including 98 trails totaling 150 miles. There are also loads of trails for hiking and biking. Residents also adore the Snowmass Village Recreation Center. Spanning over 18,000 square feet, this spectacular facility boasts excellent amenities for health and wellness with its fitness center and saltwater pools.
 

Schools

Residents of Snowmass have the same schools as the Aspen School District; a blend of public and private schools from which to choose. Students attend the highly-rated Aspen School District, which is widely recognized for being one of Colorado's top-performing districts.
